Open year-round, Evergreen Brick Works is a community environmental centre that inspires and equips visitors to live, work and play more sustainably. Transformed from a collection of deteriorating heritage buildings into a global showcase for green design and urban sustainability, Evergreen Brick Works is both a stage and incubator for Evergreen’s programs. A dynamic public space in the heart of Toronto’s Don Valley, the site engages visitors through interactive workshops and community festivals, and offers a full suite of programs combining ecology, design, technology and the arts in a hands-on, multi-sensory educational experience. In 2010, Evergreen Brick Works was named one of the top 10 geotourism destinations in the world by National Geographic.

Hi Everyone,
The next APL Camera Club walkabout will be to the the Evergreen Brickworks and will take place on August 9. Here's a brief description of the site from their website:
We will meet at 9:00 am at the usual Tim Horton's on Wellington (304 Wellington Street East), next to St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic School. We will drive to the Brickworks from there.
This walkabout is limited to a total of five people. This will make it possible for us to take one car.
If you wish to attend this outing please sign up here. This is first come, first serve. You will not be able to sign up once the five person quotient is filled.
