Thornton Bales Conservation Walkabout -- October 15, 2012

Ronen Grunberg's picture

The goal of this walkabout is to capture the colors of fall. The Thornton Bales Conservation Area is beautiful this time of year and would be, I think, the ideal place to photograph the beautiful fall colors.  Since it is also relatively close by it is, I think, the ideal place to have our first walkabout of the year.

Those of you who have already visited Thornton Bales will know that the terrain is fairly rugged.  Consequently, you will need a good pair of running shoes and be willing to walk a bit.  It's a beautiful area so it's well worth it.

The plan is to meet at the Tim Horton's (304 Wellington Street East) at 9:30 am -- the usual Tim Horton's located next to St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic School.  Thornton Bales is fairly close by and probably takes no more than 20 minutes to get to by car.  I will be more than happy to give a lift to anyone who needs it.

Please indicate your intention to participate in this activity by registering below.  Be aware that you will not see the registration form until you are logged into your account.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on this walkabout.

Ronen

Thornton Bales

Hi Ronen,

Since there are few parking spots at Thornton Bale I suggest car pooling

Hi William,

Hi William,

From the looks of it people aren't very interested in this outing or have other commitments.  This is a busy time of year.  I'll wait another couple of days to decide whether to cancel it or not.

Regards,

Ronen

Outing

Seems as though an Umbrella may be handy as well?

At the very least an outing to Tim"s is better than an outing to say Starbucks.
