Unwanted Dog Kiss - Love the motion and blur. Fun picture
Happy - Superb capture of emotion. Love the nurturing protective arms of her mother in the shot as well.
Distillery - Great shot. I missed that all together. At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at.
Alien - I should have been quicker because the person on the bench balances the picture better than mine. You managed to have them both engrossed in something totally ignoring their immanent death by the Alien.
Inside old car - Nice perspective. Which HDR app do you prefer?
I love your images as well. I've been meaning to comment on them in more detail, but with the end of the school year and exams and marking time has been limited. I'll be posting some comments shortly.
For HDR I've been using Photomatix. It's got lots of options for manipulating the image and interfaces nicely with Lightroom. Sometimes I also use the HDR built into Photoshop, but I don't think that it works as well as Photomatix.
I'm finding that wth HDR the hardest thing is to find a balance between keeping the image "realistic" while at the same time giving it that painterly HDR look. Too much HDR and it looks totally fake. Too little HDR and the image just looks ordinary. I guess it's all a matter of practice.
I had a great time downtown with all of you. Great Pictures Ronan. I love the shots you got of the old truck and you've captured some great people shots too. I'm jealous of your chandelier shot - it turned out great.
