Forums:

I've just signed-up for an online course for Photoshop Elements 11. It starts on November 11th. This is the photo editing program and version that I use.

Details of all the Digital Photography courses available are at ..

The teacher of the course is Beverly Richards Schulz, a graduate of the NYIP, which I attended back in 1967 (very predigital) .. so my expectations are high.

I'll keep you all updated as to how the course goes!

Lesson 1 Done!

Teaching method is good .. practical approach and logically sequential.

There's two lessons each week, released on the Wednesday and Friday of each week .. running for six weeks (12 lessons in all).

The material is well illustrated and benefits from a wide format display with side-by-side windows .. one with the course and one with PSE 11 running.

There are periodic quizzes which measure one's understanding of the material.

There's also a discussion forum in which one can post questions and share observations regarding the lesson materials.

Eventually there will be an 'exam', which if 'passed' will result in a 'letter-of-completion'.

So far, so good!
