Hi Everyone,
I hope that you're all well and managing to cope with this very difficult and very cold winter.
It seems like it's been forever since we had our last APL Camera Club meeting. The snow, ice, and cold have not been too inspiring for photography. Despite it all it's time to get back into the groove and look forward to the next couple of months (especially March) when the weather will hopefully let up a bit and be more conducive to going out and shooting some wonderful images. Hopefully the meeting this Thursday will re-inspire all of us who have been in creative hibernation for the past couple of months.
AGENDA FOR THURSDAY'S MEETING
- Photographer of the month--Jay Maisel
- Principles of exposure with a special focus on aperture
- The art of black & white photography
- Actions in Photoshop
- Crush the Composition--Scott Kelby (if time permits)
- Monthly Challenge Critique--Still Life
- Using the APL Camera Club website
As usual, we may or may not get through everything on the agenda.
MONTHLY CHALLENGE
Please submit your images for the Monthly Challenge. At this point only a few people have uploaded their images. In case you've forgotten, the monthly challenge is Still Life or Holiday Still Life. I put together a page on the APLCC website to give you some ideas. What you will find there is the PowerPoint on Still Life from the last meeting, as well as a few videos from YouTube to guide you. Thanks to all the people who've already uploaded their Still Life images. I'm looking forward to seeing some more.
All the best to everyone and I'll see you all on Thursday.
Ronen
