I hope you've all had a great summer. Now that we're into October it's time to think about the APLCC's first meeting of the season, which is scheduled to be held on November 14, 2019. The reason for the late start is because officially the first meeting was scheduled to be on the 31st of October, Halloween night. In order to avoid any conflicts or issues with people who need to stay home for Halloween we decided to move the first meeting to the 14th of November.
Here's what's on the agenda for the first meeting:
- Monthly Challenge -- "Best Summer Photo". The server is ready for your upload so bring on the best photo that you took this summer.
- Presentation -- The problem of motivation. Strategies for getting motivated to go out and take some photographs when feeling uninspired.
- Presentation -- Topaz Studio 2 and creative post-processing.
- Photographer of the Month -- TBA.
FREE LIGHTROOM WORKSHOP
On October 17 between 6:30 and 8:30 pm Rafael Payan will be leading a hands-on workshop on Adobe CC Lightroom at the Aurora Public Library. This session is completely free of charge and should help you get all the basics that you'll need to get up and running with Adobe Lightroom. If you wish to attend you'll need to register ASAP as seating is limited. Here's a link to the library's website for more information.
I will be sending another reminder of the first meeting as it gets closer. In the meantime please upload your "Best Photo" of the summer for the Monthly Challenge. If you're not sure, or have forgotten how to upload, here is a link that will walk you through it.
Looking forward to seeing you all on November 14.
