APLCC Fall 2012 Agenda

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you've all had a wonderful summer and that you've been out there taking all sorts of photographs which you're ready to share and discuss with other members of the APLCC.

We're going to have the first meeting of 2012-2013 on October 25th.  We will continue to meet on the last Thursday of the month.  I will put the dates of this year's meetings on the APLCC website calendar.

My goal is to continue what we started last year with monthly challenges, tutorials and workshops, as well as guest speakers.  I'm hoping that members will submit suggestions and ideas of topics that they'd like to cover at the meetings.

FALL WALKABOUT

Since fall is a great time of year for photography, it would be a shame to let it go without a walkabout.  I'm going to schedule a walkabout for Saturday October 13 between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.  The place I have in mind is the Thornton Bales Conservation Area where the colors are spectacular during the fall.  It is about a 20 minute drive from the Tim Hortons located next to St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic School and I think it would be a great place for us to visit.  I have set up a registration page with more specific details so if you're interested please make sure to sign up so that I can get a sense of how many people will participate in this.  You can also find a link to the registration page on the front page of the APLCC website (www.aplcameraclub.webhop.org) or under the calendar pull-down menu.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE

The monthly challenge for the October 25th meeting is "Summer Fun".  Some people have already uploaded some great images, but many (including myself) still need to submit their photographs.  I'm really looking forward to seeing your summer images so don't forget to upload before the first meeting on October 25.

I will send another email with a more detailed itinerary for the October 25 meeting as we get closer to the date.

All the best.

Ronen
